1. Our standards
In short. Zero tolerance: content or behavior that exploits or endangers children is removed immediately, the account is terminated, and authorities are notified where the law requires.
Child sexual abuse material, grooming, sexualization of minors, harassment, and any other content or behavior that exploits or endangers children are prohibited across all SchoolPort features, including messages, study groups, and course discussions. Violations lead to immediate content removal and account termination, and are reported to the appropriate authorities where required by law.
2. How we protect students
In short. School-community-only communication, extra server-enforced limits for under-16s, automated filtering, report and block on everything, 24-hour response, and no marketing use of children’s data.
Communication features are limited to a student’s own school community — there is no public discovery or contact with strangers. Students under 16 are further protected by default: they cannot exchange private one-to-one messages with classmates, create study groups, share web links in messages, or show their photo to classmates unless their school expressly enables a feature — enforced on our servers, not just in the app.
All user-generated text passes through automated content filtering before it is shown to others. Every message and post carries an in-app Report action, and any user can block another user, which stops delivery in both directions. Reports are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours. We collect from students only what the school function requires and never use children’s data for marketing, advertising, or profiling.
3. Reporting a concern
In short. In BLUE: press and hold any message, or Settings → Report abuse. Outside BLUE: email our child-safety contact — these reports jump the queue.

Outside BLUE, or for urgent child-safety concerns, contact our designated child-safety point of contact at support@schoolportsis.com with the subject “Child safety report”. Child-safety reports are prioritized ahead of all other support requests.
4. Compliance
In short. We comply with child-safety laws including CSAE reporting duties, and cooperate with law enforcement and child-safety organizations.
